چکیده
The aim of this study was to evaluate the superovulation response Beef and Dairy donor cows two differentfollicular emergence synchronization protocols. Twenty-two beef dairy were divided into groups viz.Conventional group (n=8) having four Holsteins Charolais between days 10 11 their estrouscycle IVD+EB (n=14) with six eight treated an intravaginal device (IVD) containing 1.9 g P4 + 2 mg estradiol benzoate (EB) estrous cycle. protocol consisted intramuscular application FSHp twice a day for days, in decreasing doses (850 IU 500 cows). number follicles (13±1.1 vs. 7.5±0.9) embryoscollected (11.7±2.1 vs 6.1±1.0) significantly affected by treatment but, protocols didnot affect these variables (12.2±0.9 10.4±0.7, respectively). Regarding productionof non-viable embryos, significant difference only found both treatments (8.2±2.3 1.3±0.3, Results showed that is not necessary superstimulation new follicular wave before when it starts mid-luteal phase cycle Holstein cows, since they had similar results without differences treatments.

Effects of different five-day progesterone-based synchronization protocols on the estrous response and follicular/luteal dynamics in dairy cows
This study compared the responses shown by lactating dairy cows to four different P4-based protocols for AI at estrus. Cows with no estrous signs 96 h after progesterone intravaginal device (PRID) removal were subjected to fixed-time AI (FTAI), and their data were also included in the study. In Experiment I, follicular/luteal and endometrial dynamics were assessed every 12 h from the beginning ...
متن کاملMetabolic profiles in ovulatory and anovulatory primiparous dairy cows during the first follicular wave postpartum.
Metabolic hormones affect ovarian function in the cow. However, the relationship between metabolic factors and ovarian function is not clear in the postpartum primiparous cow because they are still growing. The aim of the present study was to investigate in detail the time-dependent profile of the metabolic hormones, metabolites, and milk yields of ovulatory and anovulatory primiparous cows dur...
متن کاملFollicular cysts in dairy cows
Follicular cysts are the most critical reproductive disorder in dairy cows and disturb normal ovarian cycle, resulting in the prolonged interval from calving to conception. Therefore, this condition causes significant economic losses to the dairy industry. Two direct causal factors of cyst are suggested in this review; the disorder of ovulation and the delay of regression. The disorder of ovula...
متن کاملDifferences between Brahman and Holstein cows in response to estrus synchronization, superovulation and resistance of embryos to heat shock.
Embryos from Bos indicus are more resistant to elevated culture temperature (i.e. heat shock) than embryos from some Bos taurus breeds. The present experiment was designed to determine if Brahman embryos have greater resistance to heat shock than Holstein embryos at a stage in development before the embryonic genome was fully activated. A second objective was to test breed effects on estrus syn...
